Q: What are business hours?
A: Monday through Friday 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. We are closed Sundays.
Q: Do I need to make a reservation with a stylist? How long should I expect to be there?
A: In order to give you full attention from your personal stylist, reservations are highly encouraged. Sessions generally are between an 1.5 to 2 hours to ensure we have found your dream dress! Click here to reserve your time to discover your dream dress or call us at (919) 783-8911.
Q: How should I prepare for my session?
A: Don't bring an entourage. Eat something. Wear/bring comfortable undergarments. Do your research, but keep an open mind! Bring your cameras and champagne to celebrate when you say "YES!"
Q: How much does a dress cost?
A: Wedding gowns at Savvi fit all budgets. Our large selection of gowns are sold between $800-$2800. Personal customizations are available to ensure your dream dress is one of a kind!
Bridesmaid dresses range between $115-$249.
Q: What sizes are your Savvi dresses?
A: We fit real people in real sizes. Our sample sizes range from 4-28.
Q: Does Savvi rent dresses?
A: We do not offer the option to rent a wedding gown. However, we do rent tuxedos and suits and make it easy to get your out-of-town attendees measured!
Q: When will my dress arrive?
A: A wedding dress takes about three to four months. Customizations add approximately 45 days, so please factor that into your timeframe. You can be comfortable knowing that your Savvi stylist will provide you will all of the details you need about your wedding dress.
**Pro tip: If you are having wedding portraits taken in advance, please factor that into when you order your dress.
Bridesmaids gowns are available for purchase immediately or may be ordered in other colors or sizes to be made within 2-3 months. We make it easy for your ladies out of town to submit their measurements online. Click here to submit measurements.
**To ensure dresses come from the same dye lot, we do not order group dresses until all girls have been measured and paid for.
Q: Do you offer alterations in store?
A: We do not offer dress alterations in store, but we can provide you with a list of preferred professionals in the area.
Q: I would like to visit when you are least busy. When is a good day?
A: Tuesday afternoons and Wednesdays are the best time to avoid crowds.
Q: What should I expect during a wedding gown appointment? What should I bring?
A: Bring with you: well fitted, complete undergarments, shoes the height you will be wearing for your wedding day, and champagne if you like. We encourage you to bring 2 or 3 of your most trusted family or friends whose feedback means the most to you. Wedding gown shopping is fun and you'll be in a comfortable space assigned to a stylist that is well versed on styling different shapes and sizes and whom considers your entire wedding day vision.
Q: Do you offer wedding dress cleaning and/or preservation? If so, how much does it cost?
A: Yes! Bring your gown to Savvi Formalwear & Bridal and we will clean, preserve and return your dress to you in a sealed preservation chest. We offer a pre-wedding special - a great shower gift - when purchased any time fourteen days prior to the wedding for only $175!

Bridesmaid Dress FAQ
Q: Do I need to make a reservation with a stylist and how long is a session?
A: Yes, we recommend making a reservation unless you are simply getting measured for your bridesmaid gown. Bridesmaid gown selection sessions are scheduled for 35 minutes if you are bringing five or fewer bridesmaids with you, and 45 minutes if you are bringing more six or more maids with you.
Q: Do you have various sizes for my bridesmaids?
A: Absolutely! Savvi Formalwear and Bridal carries a variety of sizes from 6-28W.
Q: What brands of bridesmaids gowns do you carry?
A: Savvi Formalwear and Bridal sells bridesmaid gowns from many high-quality designers including: Bill Levkoff, Morilee, After Six, Alfred Sung, Dessy, Jenny Yoo and Studio Design. Click on Savvi Maids in our Bridal Collection to see more info and photos from our designers.
Q: How do we get our attendants who are out of town measured and ordered?
A: Locate a bridal shop in your area and ask them for complimentary bust, waist and hip measurements. If it is a long gown, be certain to take along the shoes you’ll wear in the wedding and also request the measurement of your hollow to hem. Then submit measurements for bridesmaids to Savvi Formalwear and Bridal..
Q: How far in advance do I need to place our bridesmaid dress orders?
A: You need to order your bridesmaid dresses 2 1/2-to-4 months before the wedding. Remember that alternations could take up to three weeks. If you would rather purchase a variety of styles from our in-store selections, they are available immediately.
Q: Do you offer in-store alterations?
A: No, but we can provide you with a list of local professionals whom have provided our bridesmaids with excellent service in the past.
Q: Do you sell shoes and accessories for my bridesmaids?
A: Yes, Savvi Formalwear and Bridal does sell shoes and accessories! Sashes add a personalized touch.
